I've finally recovered enough from Saturday's doubleheader (Spring football in the morning, track & field in the afternoon) to edit the latter portion of the day. The "Hurricane Challenge" is the third and newest home track meet for the 'Canes, and thus attracted fewer schools that the other more established home meets. The track was less cluttered and fewer "officials" got in my way than usual.

Sometimes I'll just let the photos do the talking. Today's take from UM's spring football game at Lockhart Stadium in Ft. Lauderdale looks all too familiar for 'Canes fans...and I didn't even get any of Aldarius "Glue Hands" Johnson's drops...

In the coming weeks I'll be posting my favorite pics from the Orange Bowl. I shot 104 games in the stadium from 1991-2007, all but two of them involving the Hurricanes. Not all of them will be positive for 'Canes fans, so on that note....
In 2006 ESPN assigned Doug Flutie to the broadcast team for the BC @ Miami game. While trying to do a live shot in the very same end zone where he completed his famous "hail-mary" pass in 1984, a 'Canes fan kept yelling "STAND UP!" an obvious reference to his lack of height.

I took my first walk-around of the soon to be departed Orange Bowl Stadium in Miami. As you’ll see from the photos the lower deck is nearly removed and work has begun on the upper deck and the press box. Watching it come down piece by piece is torture, it would be so much easier, from a fan’s perspective, to just blow it up and get it over with.
